Solvent Based Mandrel Release Agent Lubekote 9808

Lubekote 9808 release agent is fluorine series release agent with excellent release performance for hose mandrel. The release agent does not contain oily substances, ensuring it won't pollute the surface of the mold mandrel and hose. It provides good demoulding effect with smooth inner layer of rubber finish and no quality defects such as pitting trachoma.

Especially suitable for rubber, nylon, plastic, iron, aluminum and other mandrels. Because Lubekote 9808 precipitates easily, it must be stirred to a milky liquid before application. It is ready for direct use without dilution, but can also be diluted 0.5-1 times with a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and No. 120 gasoline according to process requirements.

1. Clean any previously used silicone oil and other dirt from the mandrel surface (wipe with organic solvent or other methods) and dry thoroughly.
2. For initial application, apply Lubekote 9808 to the mandrel surface with a cotton brush. After solvent evaporation, apply another layer. When solvent completely evaporates, inner glue can be extruded to mandrel surface.
3. For automated spraying, it's recommended to have the mandrel pass through cotton cloth or sponge after spraying to ensure even, thin distribution on the surface.
4. Repeat step 2 before second and third vulcanization to help entire mandrel surface reach ideal state with smooth, oil-free and dense PTFE film.
5. After each production cycle, only one brush application is needed.
