Solvent based Hot Vulcanization Adhesive For Automotive Engine Seals

• Thoroughly clean metal surfaces to remove oil, grease, and dirt
• Grit blast surface to achieve roughness >15 µm (aluminum oxide recommended for aluminum surfaces)
• Clean substrate again to remove blasting residue
• Optional pre-treatments: phosphatizing, galvanizing, chromate conversion, or KTL

Apply undiluted for small areas. For large areas, dilute with MEK for improved flow.

Use HVLP gun with 1.5 Bar air pressure and 1-1.5mm nozzle. Dilute 50-100% v/v.

Dilute to 35-45 seconds on DIN 4 or Ford 4 cup at 25°C. High boiling solvents may be needed.

• Dry film for 10-30 minutes at room temperature
• For faster drying: 5 minutes at ≤100°C with forced air
• Optimal film thickness: 15-25 µm (≥25 µm for severe environments)
• Pre-applied parts can be stored for 30 days before curing

Keep container tightly closed, away from heat sources. Storage below 10°C extends shelf life.
